About Me

My work consists of exploring space, place, memory, and self psychology. My love for landscapes comes from active traveling and finding what is "home". I am constantly moving, wondering where I belong as a person, artist and how I capture similarities of my journeys in new places and its familiarity to the past. Prioritizing archival processes and use of traditional/alternative processes of photography to capture the moment indefinitely. Inspired by Keith Ladzinski, Michael Kenna for their landscapes and Arno Rafael Minkkinen for his use of abstract self embodiment in nature.

My name is Cullen Austin. I am a Landscape and Fine Art photographer based in the US. I first picked up a camera in 2014 and completed a BFA- Photography ‘23 at Mississippi State University; in hopes of pursuing an MFA. I got the privilege to travel all over the world and explore my passion before studying in higher education in hopes of being able to push my craft to its fullest potential. “cullenaustin.com” is a one-man operation, on and off the field, but I strive to provide the best quality, customer service and display of my art.
